Our hosting provoder, A2 Hosting, suffered catastrophic failure caused by ransomeware.
Recovering from the ashes was a bit of a challenge, we believe everything has been restored.
Sept 23 2018
Fixed folder selection for links to new document tree, made it restore last selection.
July 21 2018
The files in documents.vaxresearch.com are no longer merged with the links in the Categories tree, duplicate names were too
difficult to resolve. So instead we have added a graphical tree representation of the documents directory structure. Documents
items are not supported by saved sets.
June 20 2018
Added FB login/logout buttons to all pages, fixed popup login prompt (shown when a checkbox is clicked when not logged in.)
Added HTTPS support
May 06 2018
Saved Sets feature now online. Also corrected embarassing misspellings and inconsistent use of periods in this news popup.
February 27 2018
Discovered that new data import routine was invalidating folder and link ids, which broke shares to Facebook, or anywhere else for that matter. This has
now been corrected going forward. Sorry for any problems this may cause.
January 22 2018
Added the full URL of each link as a searchable keyword, so now a search for "pubmed" returns all links from that site. Also minor CSS enhancements.
January 05 2018
Added comprehensive exception logging, to provide a clearer view of any issues that may crop up. Improved new data import routines
to prevent edited folder names from generating a new id for old content (which would break links that were shared.)
December 28 2017
Fixed problematic use of static database context object.
December 09 2017
Finally got it to automatically expand any parent nodes and select the node in the tree, from a shared link.
This makes shared links much more intuitive and informative, by showing exactly where in the tree the information was found.
December 02 2017
Changed the page title to show the full path of selected folders.
November 30 2017
Fixed get link button on search page.
November 28 2017
Subtle changes to desktop UI.
November 24, 2017
At risk of stating the obvious, we have a new look and feel, we're hoping it will be
much more usable on mobiles. Comments welcome, as always
This site now supports partial page updates, the tree of categories only loads once,
(instead of reloading every time a category was selected) which makes the page both
faster and more intuitive.
You'll notice a gray bar between the tree and link items on mobiles, with up arrows
on the right, down on the left. Click the arrows to resize the panes, to suit your tastes.
